How to claim
What to do if something happens, step by step.
- In a medical emergency abroad, call the 24/7 assistance line printed on your certificate before you go to hospital where you can.
- Tell us straight away: call the hotline 1557, use the ATM app, or email info@takaful.mv.
- Keep every receipt and report: medical bills, airline or hotel letters for delays and cancellations, and a police report within 24 hours for lost or stolen items.
- Submit your documents: the travel claim form from the Downloads page, your certificate, passport and boarding passes, and the receipts above.
- Settlement: once the claim is approved we pay by bank transfer and let you know.
