Motor Third Party Takaful

Motor Third Party Takaful is a mandatory requirement for all vehicles used in Maldives. This policy covers the damages caused to a third party due to a road accident in which you have to bear responsible. This policy does not cover any damages to your own vehicle or own bodily injuries.

How to claim

What to do if something happens, step by step.

  1. Make the scene safe and, where anyone is hurt or a third party is involved, report it to the police.
  2. Tell us straight away: call the hotline 1557, use the ATM app, or email info@takaful.mv.
  3. Don't repair the vehicle yet: a surveyor will contact you within one working day to inspect the damage.
  4. Submit your documents: the motor claim form, your certificate, driving licence, vehicle registration and the police report if there is one.
  5. Settlement: once the claim is approved we pay by bank transfer and let you know.
